@NinjaGoemon I actually thought the same originally. At today's exchange it would be ~$24,500 USD a year or about $11.80/hr, which is below minimum wage in some parts of the United States.

@421cookies, I looked it up and you're correct. The average starting salary for a university graduate is about ¥2.5M but bonuses may bump that to ¥2.9M
