I have so many mixed feelings about Rose. I really loved the idea of a ruthless, manipulative, and clever second lead who wasn’t being put into a villain role. BUT I’ll reserve judgement until I find out what her (his?) plan is. Can the magic ring actually change her gender biologically? Is she going to really live as a woman and give birth to children? I’d be interested in a trans second lead, but if it turns out he’s really just cross dressing and is fated to be a love interest for the Apple, I’ll be very disappointed.

Nothing in the world could have prepared me for that identity reveal. I read the ring scene a dozen times bc I misunderstood what was happening lol, first I thought it was a scene change, maybe an error, or that it was cedar hiding his identity, then realized it was rose ... Now that rose must not like me talking about the prince scene makes sense now lol. Might reread earlier chapters in case there was a clue or just to read roses's dialogue and see her actions in a new light

@nanathebanana they actually have diff eye colors so I saw it the opposite of how you did, I never connected to them being related or in this case, the same person bc lol. Like I actually thought about "oh they all have different eye colors, they're all so bright and diff, especially the red". But yeah def see some similarities now in hair and expression

It's funny because I got trap vibes the INSTANT I read the first chapter, and I couldn't tell you why. I guess I just have a good radar for this stuff? I do go searching out for it after all.
