WTF.
Right when I was thinking: I ship Ye Limei with Xiao Mei LOL
I honestly think Xiao Mei regarded her as a friend. I don't think she would've helped her that much if she only wanted good grades. Not to mention Ye Limei was such a pushover when the story started that Xiao Mei probably didn't have to suck up to her that much to take advantage of her.
Back then she could've just come up to her and say: Hey nerd. Make me a sculpture NOW. Or else... *shows fist* (just like the bitchy roommate)
