The Diary of a Middle-Aged Teacher's Carefree Life in Another World - Ch. 6 - Ossan goes out to the town

About halfway through the translation really breaks down. The shopkeeper was pretty hard to follow.

The translation is as horrible as ever, I see. I shouldn't have re-picked it up.

..."Carrot on a stick" - They must be doing this on purpose, and it took me until that sentence to realize. Well played, well played.

Am I missing something? He became that duke's grandchild tutor but he got no money? Only a place to stay?!

And he knew his magic was dangerous but he still taught that girl magic, not to mention an "original" one, which he knew how broken (convenience) it is

@feha it was a hell lot worse back then. we had to destroy Asafoo with constructive criticism. besides, i've seen worse. stuff like comic cans engrish on mobile pages....those freak me out

@onitada he did not teach her his original magic, he just promised her if she reaches level 50 and rise at least the level of 3 skills to 30 in 2 mounts he will teach her on of his original magic spells "DIVINE SILVER SHELL"

I wonder if the author even bothers to think about what he's written minutes earlier. The dude gets two and a half million bloody gold pieces for a bunch of fricking goblin magic stones. Then we learn 100 pieces is enough to live for a month. The next moment we hear metal is really expensive because ores must be mined in monster infected areas. Where the hell did those 2.5 million gold pieces come from under such circumstances, huh? The pesky store would have had enough cash reserves to allow 25.000 people to live for a month or over 2000 people to live for a year. Yeah, right.

The author is a smoker, but he ain't smoking any ordinary tobacco leaves, that's for sure.

So that magic shop had 2,4 million gold coins just laying around?

It would've been better to see the money (though, I can guess that the author didn't really have any idea of the amount/size it would take for that many coins and how to draw that)

Still I would've liked to know how the money system works a bit better.

I guess he just sucked a huge pile of coins into his item storage..?

Oh lord, all of the shit in here that's pre rendered or just 3d models, it hurts my eyes.

...normally, I hate it when there are characters like the clerk, but, I appreciate her bullshit being called.
