This was a pretty big cliffhanger so I cheated and looked up the synopsis of the novel...

Opal looks over the accounts and finds out that her idiot husband has servants that were embezzling funds (due to gambling debts). When she gives him the evidence, he just dismisses her as a slut who doesn't know anything. She then runs away to her family because she can't take his abuse anymore, her family devises a plan to take over his duchy because she knows they're in worse shape than they thought, but she has to stay married to the idiot. Knowing now that no one was going to help her, she goes back to her husband, writes up a document that Hubert doesn't read and signs off on, and basically signed over his entire land to her. He spends the next years of his marriage, working for his estate back, bit by bit.

I don't know how long it's going to go on in the manga, but I really hope they fast forward this to the payoff, because poor girl is being tortured. =(
