she WILL divorce the guy... probably a few years later. The duke is NOT the ML but her childhood friend. The duke WILL fall for her later but she'll reject him (sadly, not in a harsh way, more like "I see you more as a brother" kind of way. Now, why is she not divorcing him as quickly as possible?
1. For the innocent people of his own land.
2. Until childhood friend comes back, remember her reputation is still terrible, NO ONE wanted to marry her.

As for the b*tch younger sister like chara, ofc the duke rejects her with the excuse we expected. He always saw her as a sibling so it was awkward on his case

it hurts knowing it'll take her 7 freakin' years to solve most of the corruption and make his land stable again. 7 years is an incredible amount of time to solve most corruption cases, impressive yes, but ugh... I keep forgetting how old she is but it honestly feels like she's wasting much of her time for half the people that don't deserve it. Sure, she gets to save the commoners but if I was in her situation, I wouldn't last long in such a vile household. They're not THE worst (honestly, at the top of my head right now, I think A rose dedicated to you's ML household is the one of the worst for the open hostility for MC who has the worst case of (semi justified) lowest self esteem be hated by the female staff just because their ship ain't canon. Then, there's also the tea duchess manhua prior to reincarnation (well, the case with the head cook is mostly OGChloe's fault). Ah! There's also the Sperado household!

Thankfully, someone spoiled last chapter, as you can see, THIS is the chapter she starts to fight back, maid was just the beginning.
