I'm guessing free would have to put the barrier up while the duke is naked... and the barrier may dull or even stop the sense of touch/warmth between the two people interacting altogether.

so it may be worse than actual condom.

I really love the character consistency and dynamics

-Author remembered Viola never learned about witches so had it explained away immediately
-Author had it so people can kinda touch the Duke so Alice immediately goes for the jugglar
-Walter's paranoia brought him here, so obviously his almost gf and her lackey would come along
-Viola smiles when she founds out about age manipulation. I think she's gonna try to make it so she can get with the butler now
