@Kefrayba @Kendama It could be both a "fake" letter and an "official" letter. Keep in mind that the Prince's aid will want to be rid of her ASAP, while the Prince is suffering mush puppy love for her. So, reason would dictate that since most of the Prince's correspondence is handled by his aid anyhow, it would seem reasonable that the letter came from him. That would make it "official", but also "fake" in the sense of it not being the Prince's correspondence/wishes (presuming it isn't). If it is, we'll know soon enough.

As for the aid, his agenda is business and focuses on the Prince obtaining the most eligible fiancé.

A glorified scullery maid would not likely meet those qualifications.

As fake as the letter probably is, it couldn't be from a someone hoping to become the prince's fiancee. The whole 'fake fiancee' bit would be so tightly under wraps, that very few people would know about it.

The problem is, who would want the MC to be 'fired' from her role? The prince's aid might want the prince to get a new fiancee, but he doesn't seem like the type to dismiss her via a sudden, late night letter.
