Is the MC a magic canceler? That would explain why she’s not affected by the princes curse. And also why the curse stops working when she touches him. That’s probably why the witch started looking old. She canceled her illusion magic. But it looks like it only cancels passive effects like curses or illusions. Since attacks with magic still worked on her. Either that or maybe she can only cancel magic that is weaker than a certain amount or something.
