This manga took a turn so quickly that I'm getting whiplash. I don't mind authors exploring more serious themes but the pace doesn't give the reader any time to adjust to the new tone.

@someunregpunk Eh, I think what happened in this chapter at least fits in with the trauma. They might not have made it clear, but MC got sick because of his affliction because he viewed her as a woman after having a flashback there. I imagine that he might work to overcome his trauma after this, but it'd probably be because he sees that he can't be with the girl he likes if he allows his affliction to make her sick.
