The Earl's Daughter Was Suddenly Employed as the Crown Prince's Fiancée - Vol. 2 Ch. 9

@SugarArirang
I think the implication is that lynette has some strange magic nullification power, which she can transfer to others by touch, since the prince has likely been under the witch's spell all this time, what makes lynette special is both her power and the fact she could bear his pain which made him fall in love with her, basically the witch cannot use magic on lynette, and by proxy lynette can dispel any magic she uses, so for the prince to defeat the witch, they "both" had to strike her down, as the witch's magic still effects the prince and the guards, this is also likely why she was never around when lynette was around, she was aware of what she could do to her.

I never thought this sweet series could get angsty. But I'm loving it! gives it a lot of depth. Thanks for translating!!

I think he doesn’t call her a woman because that word has been so strongly associated with the traumatic experience and therefore dont want to ”put her on the same level” as the woman who sexually abused him (rather, he see her as someone much better than that)

Shame... this started cool and went completely bonkers. Unreal interactions, pointless conversations that just deepen misunderstanding... God, it's like they don't even want to solve their problems. Now the evil witch perfume lady teleported herself in somehow I guess? Urgh.

Ngl, my chest physically hurts reading their interaction in this chapter and the last. Frustrating miscommunication aside, one-sided love is so painful, I do understand why she ran away without wanting to hear an explanation. At that point your thoughts grow rampant and you think up all these scenarios and you just don't want to hear anymore. (very specific, I know lol)

Anyway evil witch begone!

Am I the only one not liking the MC?
I mean, she gets paid for acting as his sweetheart, but then she expects him to love her back and made it all about her when he was opening up about his sexual abuse experience. Bruh.

I get it, she's hopelessly in love. But it's just selfish to turn it all about her when he was the one with the actual problem, and furthermore IT'S HER JOB.

@Eclat123 I don't think she's trying to make it all about her or that she's unaware of her job, she's upset because she thinks he doesn't have feelings for her but continues to sweet talk her even in private.

In previous chapters she's acknowledged that he has to be affectionate in front of other people as part of the acting but she feels led on that he also does it in private, I don't think it's selfish for her to be hurt by that. And she has not actually told him she wants him to love her back so I don't think it can be seen as her wanting anything back from him since she hasn't expressed that. I agree that she could have been more supportive of his sexual abusive problems but I get that unrequited love can make people act a bit off

I think this is trying to wrap up soon. I think the publisher gave them a few more chapters left thats why its hitting harder than usual
