Okay, to me it looks like Sidis is the one she saved at the beginning (look at the appearances of young Sidis and Edburg on page 18, despite the summary claiming it was Edburg), however, she guarded both Sidis and Edburg, who are probably both royalty. I'm hoping Sidis becomes the ML, but unfortunately, the title suggests otherwise, unless Sidis becomes the emperor later on or something. Time will tell though...
