The Emperor's Court Lady Is Wanted as a Bride - Vol. 3 Ch. 13

I totally forgot what this manga is about and what has happened so far....

Very cute. I forgot what happened so had to read some chapters again not that i minded

Why does she think something bad will happen if she goes to the empire or tells them about her reincarnation. She was a trained knight, not to mention she was quite old in her past life, why does she have such a low esteem and so easily swayed? She doesn't stand up for herself, that's not the behaviour of someone who was raised with dignity.

Thanks for the update. I did reread this months ago so some of the plot I still remember vaguely but I don't get her dilemma. If the secret is what we think it is= her reincarnation. Even if it was her from her POV, why would they be bothered. She knows the emperor personally, she originally came from the empire, and she was already a few years older than them before (heck, the roles have been switched this time). Nothing remotely negative should come out from knowing that secret, the closest would have to be she knows about a few decades worth of empire's secrets while she was in service, hence more excuse to bring her along

@yannickq based on what we know, it'd be weirder if he wasn't the kid she saved

@GrayBypasser @Hypothon she thinks she'd get jailed for her knowledge about the Primordial Light, and it's easy to get stuck in a way of thinking when you're hiding something and others don't have any reason to talk about it unprompted.

OMG to all who said they had forgotten the story, SAME. I had to reread from the beginning. And now I'm frustrated because she still hasn't connected the dots about Sidis' real identity AJHSKJASHAJKHSKAJHA

Then do it, what even is her secret? The reincarnation???? nobody cares, get married already 😭

I have to say, of all recent chapter, this is the best chapter to reconnect with the ongoing events, that's harassment, proposal, and her fear.

@GrayBypasser @Hypothon @Aenir

I think part of it is that she is afraid that what happened back then can be viewed as she defiled/violated/corrupted the light pillar (primordial light iirc), which is pretty much the most sacred things in the entire empire. There is possibility that even royalty cannot overlook that action if it is that important. To conclude, the fear of unknown.

@Kalamel I get that she fears something like that, but she didn't step into that light willingly, she did her duty. I am kind of disappointed that author deliberately avoids explaining her fears and worries in depth. And it would be pretty logical for her to try and probe the ground about what may happen if they come to know the truth, like asking more about magic light and related incidents and so on.
