@JWChibi she knew that people are plotting against her, and probably didn’t want to endanger her brother by sticking together. As she is correct, proven later in the chapter, it was the right decision, for brother’s own good.

I don't know, how about you play their game and bait the monsters to attack the other guys there, or better yet, make the guys kill each other? No need to play respectable, when others are despicable. Just have them die. It's not like the teachers seem to care anyways.

They should realize if Tao kills virtually all of the beasts alone it would be rather difficult to outscore her if/when she decides to just run around at the later part of the exam. (I mean if she is strong enough to one hit kill beast after beast, merely avoiding some would be far easier)
