Honestly, he's just such a bastard. He basically cheats on her despite how much she's given up for him but when he breaks up with her he doesn't even tell his parents and he just assumes everything will be alright. Like yes, they'd want to see her, especially because they still think she's your girlfriend.

He’s just blaming his cheating on her erratic behaviour. Her action were extreme and manipulate but she needed a psychologist not to be cheated on. If he had tried to help her then it would have been fine but he didn’t and that’s what gets me. He tried once then couldn’t be bothered trying again when it didn’t work. He didn’t make any effort.

@Bekka-m Tbh, their relationship was super toxic. They should have broken up a LONG time ago. I'm not condoning cheating (nor do I like how he chose to end things), but MC was also being super manipulative and abusive. He's an asshole, but I also feel bad for him. He kept getting manipulated into staying with someone he hasn't loved for years.

Why hasn't he told them about the breakup? That's one the of things you tell your parents before they come to visit.
