Yeah, I cringed as well. But then again, break ups are tough, and we don't always act rational. At this point it's "loss aversion" talking, she may not be in love with him anymore, instead she just wishes to take back all those 7-8 years worth of emotional investment.

People get so uncomfortable reading MCs like this but I think this is kinda accurate to real life. I know some girls who did something like this, begging the woman their partners are into to back off. And in one of my friend’s case it’s really similar in that the other woman didnt even know the guy had a girlfriend.

The other woman really didn't seem that bad. She probably didn't even know that the guy had a girlfriend. And while I understand how hurt the MC is, it is kind of painful to watch her like that. I think it's most important that she learns to love herself first instead of hoping for that scum's love.
