Honestly, starting to feel bad for the guy here...He was in an unhealthy relationship and tried to break it off multiple times. He didn't lie about trying to leave and repeatedly tried to amicably depart on good terms. If the genders were swapped, there would be a clear double standard. (Though the future version of the protagonist sees this and calls out the main character for it) What happens because of this? His family disowns him, the girl he tries to take responsibility for and tries to support leaves him, and the new girl that he feel in love with leaves him for breaking the other girl's heart. Granted I sympathize with all the characters, as they're all decently written and no one is demonized which I like, but I do think that this isn't so much as a "you go girl! Tell him off!" as it is. "Improve yourself, make yourself better and weed out your flaws. If he truly loves you, he might return."
