Exploding girls aren't that powerful. They can't survive a several story building drop. They can't dive across a rooftop so fast that they can stop someone on the edge. And I don't think either of them expected the girl to be so suicidal - neither knew she just came home to see her father dead and other people laughing and saying how they just profited over his suicide.

It's tragic, nonetheless.

Could but wouldn't because it is not for anyone other than herself to decide it.
The thing you may not be realizing is that even if she was "saved" and "helped" she would never be able to live anyway, because of everything that happened she would be paranoid and require constant vigilance which would just make her worse. She didn't had to die but living would be worse.

@Red225 Real people CAN survive a fall from a building several floors high, why can't Exploding girls? There were already news about people surviving a drop from a 21-floor-high building. It all depends on how you fall.

It's a bit of ironic death given the subsequent chapters, but I can sympathize with her sentiment. Imagine being vilified for your poverty and then attaining the physical power to be the monster everyone claims you are, may as well go with it.

@mahtan That doesn't make sense. Lots of people go through trauma and suffer for a long time for it, but eventually heal enough to enjoy life again. She could have had that. Saying that she might as well die instead of going through bad times during the healing process is like saying no one should get casts, 'just chop the arm off, it's broken and will hurt for a long time anyway'.

Not gonna lie. Not a fan of this chapter. While I was expecting a somewhat cliche of them saying it'll be alright. This just sours the mood. It kind of ruins the story for me tbh. While there were some dark and down moments throughout the story. This just takes the cake. It makes matters all the worse when the father just killed himself to save her and even allow her money. I'm expecting blue hair chick ( Can't remember these names) to say something like 'She way already dead' or 'There's no helping her' and if they do, then that will be some BS right there.
