And I feel like he really does like her? But he puts all of that behind his ambition and thirst for power. And she doesn't deserve that, she deserves the genuine kindness and affection that the knight can provide her.

@badwxlf Feels like the whole discussion during their meal is a hint. People change over time. Dowun changed, the MC changed. Hence completing the triangle, with the naive white boy at the center.

If Dowun really did stayed the same, it would be more interesting, because instead we have a clear cut antagonist instead of a stereotypical awkward male lead rival/candidate. Doubt it will take this route though.

I can't help but lean towards Dowun and the princess getting together. The bodyguard is a nice guy and I'm sure a romance with him would sweet but I just love anti-heroes. Their complexity and motivations are always really intriguing. I'm holding off on hating Dowun's character until he does something truly reprehensible. If he shows there is no possibility for redemption, then bodyguard route all the way.
