Dowun seems like he would be happy to be killed losing against her in political chess over watching Lyon return back to the way she was and I can respect that.
 
Dowun is so awful.

Lyon "why not be merciful? Theres no reason to go killing people for rumors"

Dowun "clearly you're an idiot, I am right, better do something shady and evil"
 
Pains me to see/read this gap between Lyon and Dowun but also, Dowun created that space that now he's having difficulties closing in because Baek Han is there filling in the space. I'm still rooting for the ending that Lyon gets her happy ending. I don't care how or with who, I just want her to be happy.
 
I really didn't realize people actually saw Dowun as a love interest for Lyon.

Even now, I can only see him as manipulative, cunning villain who uses the protagonist for his own ends.
 
@shiirosagi It's true. He's very clever but he has a huge blind spot. He has no feelings of loyalty or empathy or friendship or love himself. His blind spot is that he discounts them in others--he doesn't just think they're stupid and weak, he lacks the ability to account for them in his calculations; trying to manipulate people and rule using only fear and maybe a bit of greed leaves him at a severe disadvantage.
 
Ooh so Dowun set those two gossipers up, oh well, I understand the motive but I dislike him even more. Honestly I just want Lyon to either be with Beak Han or be Queen alone, though I know that it won't be possible.

Sigh, btw Dowun again and again proving to be an unlikeable person, i don't get why people want Lyon to end up with him, im sick with his low EQ, he is not the villain type but he's really a pain in the ass and so toxic. I really want to see him go down, it's good for him too to grow up as a real human being.
 
dowun, if you fuck with baek han you will drown in the the readers tears so you better fucking watch out !!
 
And now i can clearly see dowun as a villain🙃 at first i always think that he's actually love lyon but i think its only my imagination tho
 
It took Dowun long enough to take action against Baek Han lol
He's probably gonna frame him and make it so Lyon will feel utterly betrayed, which he hopes will turn her back into the dead inside emotionless girl he made her become. Apparently that's what he considers a good ruler.

What's interesting is that killing or beating the sh*t out of the people that were talking about her and Baek Han would make her as bad as or even worse than her father (considering he didn't kill Dowun's brother).

Even if Dowun thinks this is how a good ruler acts, it doesn't look like the former king and her brother were that popular among their subjects. Acting like they would will only worsen comparisons and make her a disliked ruler as well.

The populace's distaste for the crown prince has been brought up like a million times already and I'm starting to think that's a red herring. If Lyon follows all of Dowun's instructions it might end up in an uprising.

Ignoring the love triangle drama, I honestly think that having both Baek Han and Dowun as advisors would be extremely beneficial to her and balance things out so she doesn't become too weak and neither a tyrant.
