In the future they would probably psychologically test out people like that in the military especially since they have nano machines, and greedy selfish people shouldn't be soldiers or have any sort of power. EVER.

I mean, he referred to his "captain training" as brainwashing, so they might not particularly need to worry about people being unsuitable for the job. They can just make them suitable.

Jeez. People have different mindsets you know.
I get you could get annoyed sometimes if he did something ridiculously dumb but nah.
He just has a more passive personality than most people like apparently.
There are other stories where the mc is more greedy and or ruthless so I recommend reading those.
This is not one of em.

I mean their wagons was fully loaded with a cotton. You wanna piles a bunch of corpses on top of it? are you sure it would sell a good price in that condition?
Plus I'm sure a living bandit would give you more money than the death ones, they could be used as a forced labor/criminal slaves. also a living bandits could walk on their own rather than a death weight if they were corpses.
