@XynnerS Even if they weren't all in on it, they certainly didn't seem to care about him one way or the other. There's like a bare minimum a family has to do in order to earn any sort of respect from its younger members. I understand if they figured he didn't have it in him to become the main successor or what not, but do they not have any use for any other men in the entire group? They could've probably just changed the fiancee situation up the normal way given how it didn't default back to him when he showed up alive, he wasn't that interested in her to begin with I think he said.
