@KebabRemover The MC is still a very real threat to Sungouk and his relationship with Hamin. He's telling him the whole truth about himself to try and get mc to understand him. He's manipulating the MC and we see it almost work until Korean Bakugo showed up. This really isn't a case of Sungouk being stupid for the sake of the plot.
 
@givemersspls Honestly, I think if the guy wasn't drawn to look like some evil villain and was just drawn normally, like a person stating his opinion, instead of, for example, the BS on page 10 (single page version, I'm not gonna go and count the number of drawn boxes in long strip lol) - this wouldn't leave as much of a bad taste in the mouth, IMO

The guy lacks empathy, he's selfish and somewhat manipulative, while also being very rational. I think that fits the definition of a sociopath... but yeah. He's not a villain (and shouldn't have been drawn as such unless he up and does something actually villain-like, haven't read raws), just a morally grey character (like someone else said). Might've been too early to draw him like another one of the thugs, author...
 
This guy is more of a walking cliché than most of the characters in this story.

A bit disappointing.

I need Daehyun to come back into the fray.

@BlackHoxton Mc was about to be gone from hamin's life and he decided that all by himself. The guy didn't need to explain shit to MC, MC thought the guy was innocent and said he wasn't going to tell shit to Hamin, if he just kept acting coy in front of MC he would have gotten what he wanted. This is just plain dumb and MC buying the bullshit from a weasel is even dumber.

It's kinda great that people have different kind of moral obligations and rational thoughts making this manhwa a great debate topic. LOL
 
@KebabRemover he'd still have to deal with the possibility that MC will tell eventually. Sung doesn't know how serious mc is and probably wanted to wipe out that possibility. MC himself is just really easy to manipulate.
 
@BlackHoxton yeah, i bet him telling him all his evil masterplan was the best way to get MC to fuck off. Even just continuing to keep the guy boy act would have gotten him way farther with MC than the dumb shit he did just now. Just accept the fact that it this was really bad writing.
 
The dude may still be scum, but I have to admit that he was spitting facts.

While his way of life isn't exactly the moral high road, it's still very logical and well-thought out. This dude's thinking about the future and I'll give him props for that. If you don't have the strength to defend yourself, ally yourself with people who will defend you.

I honestly can't stay mad at him. Is he scum? Absolutely. Is his way of life morally questionable? Yup. Do I agree with it? I actually kinda do. I'm no fan of white knights man. They're the kinda guys who get screwed over by everyone and they also tend to be cucks... Just saying.

This guy's way of thinking seems correct, but his friendship are not really friendship. He just use others for his beneficts. What a mesirable life to live: doesn't have any real friendship because you just see your "friends" as a way to get highter in the rank of society.
