Okay, this is a stupid self-sacrifice. He should've either told Sungah she blows the big one at singing way earlier, long ago, or he should've just let her embarrass herself. If she had been told before, she would at least be wary and decide for herself. If he's so committed to the idea of never telling her, then he should just let her embarrass herself here so that she learns. All he's doing is delaying her inevitable embarrassment while increasing his own.

I think this is more of joke about Sungah sucking at singing, as in he would rather sing himself than hear her sing. Also obviously a device to put him center stage and end on a cliffhanger instead of a simple "protect Sungah" development.

Yes, but so what? Do you think everyone is honest to everyone else about their faults? Especially in a case of a boy with a crush on a girl, where said boy is contacting her pretty much anonymously?
Its very reasonable for him to do that and its very reasonable to think he wouldn't have ever been in this situation. Also why would he make the decision to let her be embarrassed here, in front of new friends and old? Also, why are you in such a tizzy about it?
