The Goddess of Healing - Ch. 54 - Doting on You

i'm so glad for the mom, she deserves so much better than that scum!! Thank you as always HoL!

wow you guys throwing shade at the mother XD thanks for the translations couldn't she just pretend to be a boy while working in the clinic, then no one could say anything

Thanks for all the work for the stuff you translate :) looking forward to the mom meeting the general and seeing he is a good guy.

Wonder when the love blooms between them happens. Though I do like a slow reasonable burn into love, better imo than quick passions that flare out fast. I also look forward to that garbage father with his shit mistress and other daughter losing face in society as I am sure that will happen.

Though, I do think it is a pity if there is that kinda development cause it sure is cliche to have such 1 note/no redeeming qualities for an aunt and her daughter that are set against the MC. I tend to like redemption stories, but not with neat clean endings. Redemptions where there is peace between the original sister antagonist and MC, but no super close relationship, but the original antagonist with legitimate regret for that. Ah well, that is unlikely to happen too

@JWChibi I mean, the mother was naive to a dangerous degree that got her killed in og timeline and rose her daughter in a naive way that got her killed. Being kind is good, being too naive is bad.

That man outside... must be the bodyguard.

Agreed with the bonus xDD

Bro you got the sole disciple of the divine doc offering you IPO, your proper response is to go for 51%

Pleasantly surprised to see Fengshen Yanyi mentioned in the translation notes, I'm a fan of its adaptations (mainly Houshin Engi). Thank you so much for these extra notes, it's always fun to read more about the setting (and be thankful I don't live there 😆).

It seems that ancient China had a similar taboo against noblewomen engaging in commerce as the Regency era; it's almost like reading a Regency romance, except it's in an entirely different place and time.
