I think the reason the mc hasn't even thought of something like this is because:
1. He was well funded by the kingdom(isekai),.ie. equipment, resources.
2. I believe, he was well ordained in ideals whatnot in the isekai with what a hero is supposed to be.
3. And, a complete mom-con. Well, this says it all

even if only for the fact that it isn't dragging out anywhere near as long.
