Honestly though... both Constance and Scarlet thought she got away with fooling him.... Also, we don't know if nobles can become nuns?? So, what if she was just a noble who left for nun-hood? How'd he figure out her identity from that one interaction, AND at the same time not be swayed by all the gossip/rumors?? :O How did he, someone who has never actually met or seen Constance (as surmised from him asking his friend about Connie's appearance) determine the exact house that she is a noble too? There are a lot of nobles, so him still ending up with Constance specifically is like crazyyy

The mystery just gets deeper and deeper. Looks like there's even a conspiracy in the works that Lily was involved in, but Scarlet wasn't.

I think Randolph is also trying to figure out Lily's death but reach a dead end, that's because he didn't know Lily as deep as Scarlet and thus couldn't figure out Lily left a clue behind a sacred paintings. This theory made me think they didn't married for love but because both of them have similar objectives that is to unravel Scarlet's death plot. Of course this is just my own theory and may be false lol.

But also, subtle detail, but why did a person so keen on details get the name of orphan wrong? Is this just a contradiction? No. He was testing her. He probably noticed something was off and if she got the names of one of the orphans wrong, it would rouse suspicion. I really like his character so far, because the author just snuck that in under the radar and it really serves its purpose.

Also, the orphans are cute, but the fact there's so many of them probably implies some shady business is going on...
