...Well that's kinda fucked, isn't it? Like I'm surprised everyone here is taking it as "welp he messed up guess that's the end of it", when it feels like he still hasn't fully grasped why he said what he said and accepted it yet. Like, he's almost there, and now he's in this "honor trap" thing...and that's it? Doesn't feel like that should be the end of that romance thread for any other writing, like he still needs to confess again even if he would be rejected again, "fuck honor" for just this little bit. For him to give up right at this moment seems like a 180 betrayal of the character's progression that got him thrown in jail in the first place. I feel like not having such a moment would be them rushing through the conclusion of his arc.

I really like the twins, they have great chemistry with most main characters and just feel like there is so much more to them than meets the eye. I am looking forward to seeing them pop up more often <3

Also, while I really like Donau, his love isn't all that I think. I don't think he's ever even thought about stuff like sex and having children, he just kind of wants a way to never be without his Noonim. I honestly understand why Pauliana got angry, it feels kind of disrespectful when he's just so careless about something so very life-changing. Especially in her position and in the time period this story is set in.

It's tragic how Donau cant speak his real feelings to Paul. I completely understood what he is saying. If you read the novel, it took a lot of time and effort for Paul to be acknowledge. The extent to that is everyone just wired their brains to think that she is a man not a woman. There is a lot of details about her discrimination.

There were so many scandals about her inside and outside the military so having thoughts of "love" towards Paul can be insulting.

So his house sent the two sisters' house a marriage proposal. Was it for Donau and Hau to each marry one of the sisters or for Donau to marry both sisters? It's kind of funny how despite not having any training both sisters are too strong for him to move his hand. Those two will be real hellions even more so than Pauliana after some training. XD While it's great Donau wanted to help Paulina and the sisters were more concerned for his health than how dingy the dungeon is, marrying her was the wrong idea. Even if it solved some problems those corrupt nobles would just latch onto something else or create new ones to complain about. Also, considering their personalities they'd both be miserable and either would end up divorced at some point or unable to stay in the same room together for long. Especially since Paulina is too much a tomboy to really act like what the culture's view of a proper wife should be.
