I remember reading a spoiler on someone commenting on how this manhwa isn't worth r reading for this exact moment. They only mentioned how he took other concubines in and had kids. I'm glad I still stuck around despite that, can't trust just spoilers.

It is so weird to be reading a series where the ML is married to 3 women already and one of who is pregnant, while everyone is maintaining a happy relationship with the ML. Nonetheless I will still be looking forward to this series. Dank

Damn, I am so happy that the author went with all three wives and paulina being chill and friendly with each other even if the plot seems to be in keeping with real history like empire building crap, or at least a gloss of that real stuff to keep things believable.
Reiterate: glad the 3 wives generally get a long and paulina be a major pillar in that.
But I'm wanting some non irl type wisdom showing up too. How awesome would it be to see lucius making practices and creating traditions that'd solidify the wives to him as his family and also set a incentive for the noble families to raise their daughters with more education.
Like all he'd need to do would insist that the wives be the primary teachers of all children regardless of source. He'd put some scholars to keeping everyone honest (probably wouldn't include the schoolar in the manga) but each wife would be a specialist in her region. That simple act would encourage the noble families to include their daughters into the higher education and governmental knowledge in order to influence the next generation. It'd be a big net positive, not a big enough one but a good start down the road by forcely getting girls the recognition of being equal in intelligence to their brothers. Little things like that would be great to see

@ SirCuddleschmidt Yes this will be shown if the manhwa artist follows the novel timeline.. Paulina is the progenitor of all womans in Acrea to have an equal rights

I felt my heart break . I read spoilers that he will have children with the three but now that its here I'm smiling through the pain. I can understand why though, that's why this is one of the best webtoon I am reading!

I'll never get used to seeing the male lead having 3 concubines and spending time/having children with those not the female lead. Like I get it, they don't even have a romantic relationship yet(?) and emperor responsibilities but it feels like I'm just letting it happen lol

In theory, I thought that one day the emperor and Pauliana would have a one-night stand, and that Pauliana would become pregnant. Because it was the only way the two could be united. However, I'm not sure right now. Things are moving in the direction I never expected. I do not want the gentle emperor to release his pregnant concubine.
I've never had an issue with the whole concubine situation. Since the story is more politically and historically accurate than most, I had no issue with him having concubines and sleeping with them, even if it was kind of sad that as an Emperor he couldn't have who he desired by his side.
I just love seeing Paulina moving forward, even if her subbordinates are annoying. Hope the whole situation with the doctor doesn't end too badly.

It's great that the story is realistic (even when the setting is fantasy). Too tired with those wishful plot lines where characters received advantage power for minimun effort.
Feel for my man Lucius. It's not easy even when you're the emperor of an empire, there're stills things that out of his control. And he did such an good job to balance everythings without being a b*tch, RESPECT!!
