@jangankangkung It's another world, if any number, an uncountable number really, of things had been different in our own timeline, technology could have progressed in wildly different ways. If the first guy to wear shoes had tripped and hit his head the day before, someone witnessing it may have invented a helmet, and that could have been more ubiquitous than shoes today. So even before you bring in magic, or monsters, history could be different enough for them to have vastly different technology than us.
