The Labyrinth Raids of the Ultimate Tank ~The Tank Possessing a Rare 9,999 Endurance Skill Was Expelled from the Hero Party~ - Vol. 1 Ch. 4.4

Let this be a lesson to you all, respect the tanker. His repair bill is massive as is his headache from looking at everything during a fight.

The shield tank: takes all the damage, goes out of their way to protect the party and creates openings for party to attack.
The evasion tank: evades all damage, can't protect party cause of their glass defense, and can't make openings cause party too distracted with being targeted.

Stupid Hero Logic: I don't want this big guy tank with a shield anymore, he's getting in the way of my harem of girls, better fire him for something small and get a tank I want, like that evasion tank girl I saw a few days ago. Yeah, that'll work.

Result: "Hear ye, Hear ye, the Hero is dead!"

Good the ass is dead.
The people you don’t mess with: healer and shield tank. They work together to keep your squishy ass alive. If one leave the other dies. Considering that the priest aka THE HEALER was only there for the tank; hero you were fucked.

The Minotaur is the true hero here!
FYI Morag was a stupendous evasion tank. She could dodge raindrops during aggro, as well as crit-heal, so the hero here was just an imbecile.

Based on the WN:
Hero survived barely and still being a dumb idiot. Mentions that Rude's provocation is very strong and could keep aggro compared to evasion tank's provoke.

He's basically that online player that thinks he's all that but fails to see he's incompetent and can't do crap without the veteran players who were supporting his butt and then firing them for stupid reasons. And doesn't realize he's got the rare title/job but none of the skill or competence to use it properly and would rather blame the veteran players they fired who knew how to min/max their title/job.

@hayatekanzaki evasion tanks doesnt need to have glass constitution, rather, it will end badly if they do. There will be attacks they can't dodge, be that because it is aoe (not all aoe's are small, delayed attacks), homing (can at least be blocked or countered (fire a spell at the spell)), or instants (if there is no trajectory, there is nothing to dodge). Not to mention ones they cant dodge as a teammate is in the line of fire, or because there is no option if they are to attack to keep aggro. As such they will always make sure they can take at the very least 1 hit. It is just that they dodge most of the attacks (because balanced games doesnt let mages aoe the entire map as often and with same damage as a warrior slashes), so they can lower the defence requirements in favor of much speed/evasion.

@feha: yeah that's true too, I only mention glass defense cause of evasion tanks needing equipment that doesn't weigh them down which usually means not much in terms of metal armor >.>

those that play xenoblade knows evasion tanks can be good too and they arent the most glass tanks, its just the hero is a burden to the party

Serves you right, dumbass!!

if it is the type of dungeon i think it is a speedy evasion tank would probably be a better choice over a slow shield tank that would be better for facing bosses

@Jake1456
I don't think it's because of the tank doing the tanking, but with MC he just took all damage the others got. Effectively they (and I guess mostly the cocky asshole) took a lot of damage by being stupid but never actually felt it. Now with MC gone they suffer from it because what always worked doesn't, regardless of what the new tank is doing.
