The Labyrinth Raids of the Ultimate Tank ~The Tank Possessing a Rare 9,999 Endurance Skill Was Expelled from the Hero Party~

@Lewdhandholding Not to mention, there's no freaking NTR there in the first place. *rolls eyes*

I love how people scream NTR at things that aren't even close to actually being NTR, heh.

For an adventurer, this poor bastard has virtually no freedom. Everyone around him is so inept and needy

The best thing about mangadex is definitely the hot takes in the comment. "He's not the main character because he's not unique" is my personal favourite.

Why is the MC always kicked out of the hero's party for a stupid reason? Why not a normal reason? Its like the mangaka's cry for help : "I was bullied in school by bad people, waaaaa!!!!".

There isnt a SINGLE manga here where the MC was kicked out of the hero's party for a good reason...its all dumb shit like the hero being a moustache twirling villain or self insert for the author's bullies.

You dont even NEED the "kicked out of the party" reason. You could have the MC leave the party because he wants to retire, wants to travel to a different country, needs to go help out a relative, etc...why go to the extreme of making the hero look bad? It serves no purpose in the story at all. Other than self gratification because the hero is supposed to be the self insert for the author's bullies.

@Question2
Well many people in societies around the world can strongly relate to these kinds of things, if the author wants to do it like this, then why not?
I know there are many people that love these generic cliche filled type of manga exactly because they experience similar (relatively) situations in real life.

In reality there is not "justice" as often depicted in manga, so people find some minor solace in these. If you don't like it feel free to find something that suits your interests.

There are quite a few "retired adventurer living the slow life" type of generic manga out there as well.

@yldDavid : but no effort is ever put into making these "kicked out" or "betrayed" scenarios the slightest bit realistic. Especially since they are supposed to be a tightly knit group of fighters off to save the world.

If it was just two random merc groups backstabbing each other for more pay...yea okay. But the fantasy equivelent of a special ops team doing this kind of shit, often involving world spanning conspiracies that are years in the making...it just breaks suspension of disbelief.

Even in your typical highschool "Guy A hates Guy B and tries to get him kicked out of the group" situation, its more likely that Guy B will take his supporters and leave instead of a perfect "everyone else vs MC" situation. And a hero party isnt made up of random highschoolers either, the staple is a party of veteran fighters/mages with many years of experience working in teams.

Its just impossible to take these stories seriously when the author fails to put in any effort at all to come up with a believable plot. Its like claiming that aliens did 9/11 or something. Just impossible to take the author seriously at that point.

It feels like the people who make these sort of mangas/light novels never actually played any games.

“Lets kick out the healer because healing is useless! DPS ONLY BABY”

“Let’s kick out the tank because whats the point of drawing arggo and damage mitigation? DPS ONLY BABY~”

Don’t set your world in some lame-knock off of FFXIV if you’ve never even played a mmo before.

@Question2 Adventures are basically mercenaries, a spec ops group is a government military lmao they're basically knights.

Anyway the worlds obviously trash like you said, if the strongest is some 20 year old punk the world is screwed anyway.

I find it strange that the elevens keep writing stories with "kicked out of the hero's party for the lulz" as the backstory for the MC. Its like some weird victim complex. Why not just have the MC retire normally, switch jobs, something that doesnt involve getting kicked out for the lulz? Why is it even necessary to have that element? You could even have the MC kicked out because its his fault or because of a simple disagreement.

But the elevens always make sure to come up with a scenario where the MC was kicked out for some rdiiculous reason that makes the rest of the party look like moustache twirling villains. Its like they are trying to make the rest of the party be self inserts for their bullies from high school...oh wait thats probably the reason why....

I'm sorry. But slimes lately are like the most adorable freaking things. Like Lyme from the human are over powered manga and that white slime from "My place is a dungeon rest stop"

In all honesty, the slime trend likely spawned from Dragon quest. Who doesn't love to find themselves a metal slime?
