If anyone is wondering about the curse, this is what I have so far:

She cursed Theodore & his descendants (I mean, the black-haired Blanche guy who was the king before her), but that guy's aunt married into the Atalenta house. So my guess is, it's about all Blanche descendants, not just Theodore's. And basically, house Atalenta's descendents are all Blanche descendents, too because of that marriage.
