The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor - Vol. 3 Ch. 46 - Rhodium, The City of Arts Part 3

If you rest tomorrow because you worked tirelessly today, there is no meaning in the work that was done today.

I hate this way of thinking. It's the way to burnout.

@okami Yea, that only works when you are a fictional character with infinite stamina. In real life that only results in stress, your body giving up and heavy burnout/forced retirement. In the spirit of a korean grinder it makes sense, but nowhere else.

I think he meant more like being consistent with what you're doing (like he said in the speech bubble right after).

No point in doing 16 hours today if you do 0 tomorrow, it's better doing 8 hours every day is what he probably meant.

@RyoSaeba No i don't think he means that.

"it's better to get rid of things that waste time."
"Since others will get stronger from hunting while I rest."
"Also... a real worker doesn't take a moment to rest."
"If you rest tomorrow because you worked tirelessly today, there is no meaning in the work that was done today."
"It's the most basic thing"
"Being consistent is most important"

The being consistent thing sounds more like consistently keep working without a break. because a real worker doesn't take a moment to rest, which means no breaks for the real workers.
So glad I'm a fake worker then, because I need my days off.
This really sounds like the company mantra for the burnout factory.

@okami
Exactly. And he is serious about it as if it is a good thing. There is just one part of this MC I can't stand and it is this exact mentality. He actually likes the idea. He is the kind of fucked up bastard who would praise exploiting child labor if it added 2% more to production and then secretly robbing the kids behind the building of their pay in order to make an extra bonus.

@JavelinJoe
I don't think he would support child labour considering he had to work to raise money for his family as a child.

I think it is more deliberately showing that he is indeed mentally fucked up and the reason why he can rise up so quickly in the game is because he has unbreakable mentality/stubbornness.

Mentality that will cause his body to give completely when he is around middle age, but I suspect he doesn't care.

Sometimes i wonder how far along he is on that gangster money bet. But then i remember this game is a hyperbolic time chamber

@Elmithian
He at least would appreciate the benefits gained by it, or be jealous of those who are able to pull it off successfully, without getting caught. Remember that this is the same guy who takes advantage of everyone around him, including his own pets/statues. Besides his immediate family, and Seoyoon (by way of him misunderstanding her social ineptitude as her blackmailing him as punishment for using her as a model without her explicit permission). Everyone else is fair game for him to exploit though, and exploit them he does if it is possible.

I do hope that they don't go too far with the money thing, i feel like there is a line where it goes from oh yea this is part of his character to who the fuck thought of adding this to the manga
