@cookie_honey He could tell right away that he was in the past because there was a calendar on the table. For the future memory when he saw everyone in the room together. Maybe he knew that it was the future because he was driving the guy everywhere, and that location was one of the places he dropped the son off while he was probably outside waiting in the car.
