It kind of feels like a mix between Freaks and Grave of The Fireflies... and a great one at that. Heavy, but definitely worth the read.

Great read. This reminded me of Mr. Arashi's Amazing Freak Show by Maruo Suehiro - even the art is similar - but of course this one is more tame. Although I suspect the incest element between Nijihiko and Nonoko will come into play.
