I agree with you about that. Although it might have been a lot harder on the people drawing the panels if they had the workshop as messy as in the LN due to the various amounts of weird objects that they would have to draw multiple times from multiple different angles. Also it might have ended up as visual clutter and been hard to focus on one single area.
