The colored eyes may be unnecessary, but its design (for me) is what made it pretty popular and thus serialized. Its easy to pick out of many maid mangas. You just say, "its that maid with purple eyes" and people who are familiar with it will instantly get you.

@GalladeGuy They were colored in the preserialization, so I’m sure the author would have had them colored in the serialization if they could. If it looks nice, I don’t see why it’s a problem.
