The references in this chapter cracked me up. The hand mascot mouth thingy cracked me up and instantly thought of the pikachu picture. Lmao. As for the female main character, she puts herself down a lot and it seems to be based a lot around people around her/her mother/etc. From my understanding, that can be a big issue in korea with females as it is. Hopefully she gains the confidence she should have as the series continues. I like that she was seriously questioning what make up means to her and doesn't just jump into being "need make up so I can be attractive to others" despite her low self esteem.
