I don't give a shit about his past, I don't give a shit about his uncle being a twat that clearly killed his father and is holding him basically hostage to protect his brothers, he's scum and if he ends up with Sophia then, yet again, the Chinese prove to write like shit. I am tired of the trope of "oh one sympathetic thing makes the FL who was clearly destroyed/abused/whatnot by the male lead means she falls for him and forgets all the bad he did to her."

@TheGodEmperor Fucking preach that shit! Seriously most of these webtoons always have that common ml trope. Its so frustrating. Like its so unfathomable for a girl to end up with a decent guy. Nope always has to end up with some trash who personally abused or harrassed her and is never willing to properly apologize or atone for his wrongs either. Poor boy scraped his knee when he was a child so thats why he has to make the fl's life hell ofc.

@ROOR21ROO to be fair, 99% of the time I've seen this trope since really reading manga/manhwa/manhua way harder over the last year and half (instead of casually) is when I read the manhuas (aka chinese stories). I don't get why the chinese love their shitty asshole ML that never repents/atones or actually suffers for what they do... and why they think a real woman would be ok with being with a person who destroyed their life.
@TheGodEmperor Dude same. I've been browsing webcomics and mangatoon and 90% of the romance manhuas are filled with rape or betrayal and dumb fls who always end up falling in love with their abusers. I don't know who is writing those stories but they can't possibly believe constant abuse and disrespect is any woman's idea of true love. Its ridiculous.
