@KumikoR95 why? imo, her "interfering" is quite justified, on the outside, Davey is just a not fully recovered normal teenager with only basic fighting skills while on the other hand she is a highly skilled magical swordswoman whose resistance against this blood polis is stronger than anyone else and surprised even the mc, plus her mother have apparently been killed by a vampire
this is not the typical scene of a known! op hero fighting against strong opponent and the weaker female waifu support barging in for the sake of being by your side or such crap

Finally. I think none of this would had happened had the MC just finished the guy off earlier before allowing him to do that fucking move. Too much casualties that could had been prevented had the MC not jojo-strutted.

This MC is crazy, lots of people have died because of him but he is still all smiles, the girl is dying and he decides to crack a joke
