I think it was more of a middle finger to Asura. They both released chapter 1 of this on the same day, so SecretScans apparently decided there was no need for pointless drama and backed out.

A few days later SecretScans does Taming Master chapter 1 and Asura releases their chapter 1 a few days after that. Then they kept releasing chapters. Maybe they already had it ready and didn't want to waste the work they put into it? Maybe their patreon supporters/donators specifically requested it and they feel obligated to do it. I don't know. Regardless, it comes off as kinda disrespectful.

And now we're here with SecretScans doing a mass dump of chapters 2-22 probably as a "screw you" to Asura. Petty and childish, but I think every scan group has had some stupid drama at some point.

Whatever the case is, I can’t block either group because they both have series that no other group does. And now I have to accept that I'll get double notifications for releases of the same chapter because people want to get into a dick measuring contest. Because fuck the readers.

Edit: And also keep in mind that this is just from the perspective of an outsider. Maybe SecretScans did some dumb shit that pissed off Asura earlier. I could also be completely wrong. I'm not in either group so I can't say for certain what's going on without talking to them or joining their discord, and I can't be bothered to do that.

doesn't realize that a lot of people who use aggregate sites do so because they can be assed to keep track of 20 different groups' sites.

Saying there's a third group (that didn't upload to mangadex) is about as useful as telling me that I can save $5 a month by going to 5 different stores for my groceries.

Nah. I'm not mocking. I truly wish there was a way to keep reuploads from appearing besides blocking groups.
There should be an option to automatically mark chapters as read if they have the same chapter number.

I thought it was pretty clear that I only use mangadex when I said Leviathan Scans didn't upload to mangadex, but I realize that saying "aggregate siteS" (plural) might have caused confusion. I'm not taking a shot at you; it's my fuck up there for being vague.

What I was trying to say is that the only aggregate site I use is mangadex. Leviathan Scans doesn't want their work hosted here, and mangadex at least respects that whatever your opinion on the matter might be.

Since Leviathan Scans doesn't have their chapters here, they aren't part of the (I assume) dick measuring contest here.

And that's my two cents. Feel free to get in the last word.

This story feels a little void because of all the plot devices, like if someone liftted a boulder of 1 ton above their head and then when he needs to lift a bucket of 50 kg he need help from someon else because he slept on the wrong side of the bed.
