I really don't mind the whole elongated "revenge story" of when the MC goes back in time and takes things step-by-step. However, with this one... Idk, it seems like it's going to happen, but then it's not, since it seemed like he could have easily killed both of them right then and there... So, I'll wait till after he gets back his strength he had from the Heroes Hall, if he doesn't straight up get revenge on them for murdering his mother and almost killing him... This is soooo dropped. I'm giving it until then, so I hope it'll be worth the ride.

There are a few time travel(back to the past) revenge story manga out there, that just milk the shit out of the "revenge" ... The one person the MC needed to kill from day one, is still alive and well 100+ chapters in and that person is straight up using the MCs maids and friends as hostages or just straight up killing them and then the MC is all like "I'll avenge your death" while that person is still alive for 50+ more chapters after it. Like WTF when is your revenge going to happen? Sure you are making their lives a little bit more unbearable for them, but they are killing your friends and family, while you're still "I want them, to experience what they gave me in my past life."

If this manga turns out something like this, I'm definitely dropping it. Lol

@codydub03 Or manga with that protagonists that always goes "killing is bad m'kay" and just lets the most mustache twirlingly evil antagonists live and unsurprisingly to no one they just continue doing evil shit. Of course there's also the trope of all the bad guys after losing to the protagonist have reformed their ways and now they're friends with the protagonist and on the side of good! Just ignore all the irredeemable things that man may have done in the past, he's atoning for it now, seriously, yeah I know he used to eat babies and infected the entire southern continent with an incurable virus that killed off most of the population for the lulz but now he's helping the protag now so it s'all good.

That's something that has always irritated me about comic book heroes, notably, Superman. Superman is such a mental midget that the moment he ends up making the conscious decision to kill someone (someone who deserves it mind you), he goes, "fuck it" I'm an evil dictator now in basically every timeline superman becomes evil. But if you really think about it, we have these super villains with ridiculous powers, that keep breaking out of prison (consistently) and they just keep killing people. Why are we locking these people up, they're never going to reform, and clearly the authority does not have the power to keep them locked up, at this point, execution would actually be the most just thing to do, but nooooo, that's wrong says the super hero vigilante.

@Hobnobs Exactly! I don't want to get into the whole comics side of it, since that debate is free for (us)nerds as politics is for old people.... I do think that your point though is on point. The mentality of protags(MC) that are super questionable from the start, are the ones that lead there friends and family to deaths door because of the decisions they make.


Obviously, I doubt it's this bad, but man some MC seem idiotic enough to be like this.... @ me if you come up with a good one.

Protag: "That's okay, he knows what he did. Now he'll have to live with it."
Soldier3: "Hero, the "mustache twirlingly evil antagonists" just killed your father who wanted revenge for the Kings death."
Protag: "Th-that's fine, he knows what he did. Now he'll have to live it."
Soldier4: "Hero, the mustache twirlingly evil antagonists" just killed your girlfriend."
Protag: "Rawrrrr, she was in my harem. I'll destroy this evil villain to save the country."
