despite being the one who 'taught' him that nothing is unforgiveable/unfixable, she's eaten the person he has the deepest connection with. He'll never be able to tell him how he feels, and Era has committed an unforgiveable sin (eating a fish/cannibalism). because of her, no one will ever answer that call


also i don't get why eating fish is so taboo, virtually all fish eat fish

but the 'unforgiveable sin' is being a fish/sea creature/idfk and still eating him. and if you want to go the 'not responsible for his being caught' path, if he hadn't stopped to talk to her and gone right in, he wouldn't have gotten caught
