Two things bothering me:

1. what was Arnos's "Magical Clock" for? Is it related to the solution somehow?
2. "The moment Sasha violated the contract I cancelled Zekt" - is the "contract" the one in this chapter? I don't see how she could violate it, especially since the conditions for fulfilling the agreement/deal bound by Zekt pretty much lay completely on Arnos.

What is it that I missed ALREADY?
