The Monster Duchess and Contract Princess - Ch. 42

Almost choked up a bit at her Uncle's letter, what is wrong with me

Since Leslie actually has quite a formidable power, shouldn't she be trained to use it for the defence of the Empire, since that's the Salvatore family's role? If she's a Salvatore now, she ought to share that responsibility.

Why is everyone playing musical chairs during breakfast?

In the first shot, you see the duchess at the head of the table, and the father adjacent to her on the right. Then later you see a shot where Leslie is sitting to the left of Sairaine, I guess making him shift one seat to the right? Then there's another shot with Leslie between the duchess and her husband. Did the duchess decide to stop sitting at the head of the table and force Sairaine and Leslie to shift down a seat again?

"Enter the temple" as in, "I'm here, visiting with my fam" or "I'm here to enroll to be part of the temple"? Eh... now that I think about it, the second would make no sense, because then why would the Salvatore's adopted her?

Ahaha, Beth and Ruenti <3

@Amarrez

What's wrong with you is that the Sperado lineage is an inbred POS dynasty with emphasis on the 'nasty' and needed emphasis on DIE

Bless this family... TwT

@Kaarme
Just like the previous commenter says, I think because she's still too young? And from a few chapters back, iirc she did and still is training her power with Ruenti, because despite her great control over the power, she still can't fully control it.

@Pocky8 I interpreted the words as telling Leslie that when the time comes when she's getting married in the future, after becoming an adult (the ceremony would happen in a temple), the duchess still wants Leslie to be her daughter that day.

@AkaiHidan Yeah, obviously nobody but the extremely desperate would send a little kid to a real fight. However, training would be a different thing and should begin as soon as possible. If she's not trained, she should never get anywhere near battles. But that might be a problem if the Salvatore family's only duty in the Empire is to be the elite guardians. It might also go against their sense of duty and honour to keep a considerable asset hidden and inactive just because she's so cute.

@MeiraEve Yeah, that was basic magic control training and extremely useful, but it's not really combat training, though also necessary for it. As I've understood it, the Salvatores are warrior nobles.

I hope Leslie can see her uncle at least one more time, he seemed really sweet ╰(*´︶`*)╯
