I just skipped ahead and read the spanish translation and let me tell you people, the following chapters are just *chef kiss*
 
With the eagerness of the guards and the temper of her brothers/mother/father, they will definitely have something to say about that no so subtle ambush her former maid totally told her not about.

Her baby is not being held hostage, it's actually much worse. Not that essentially changes much, but she comes as more and less understandable because of that.

Still, obvious trap is obvious.

I kinda hope that after whatever plan she's involved in is foiled that she gets to stick around. Though, probably not if she has her own store. Oh well.
 
Totally had her kid kidnapped and maybe her husband to so that she can get Leslie to her shop so they could kill her and she totally doesn’t want to do it.
 
I am so sad for this character, you see she doesn't want to do what the Sperendo want to! She asked for her to bring guards and with the duchess approval!
If she was evil, she would say the total opposite! The next few chapters will be hard....

The Speardo scumbags are so evil I love it. The comeuppance for this latest scheme of these should be having their title removed entirely and imprisonment. That would be just the best
 
So we have 2 people who interacted 'well' with Leslie in the past.

Nanny who's thinking of approaching her to use her past 'kindness' to get some favor.
vs
The ex-maid who's forced to lure Leslie into a trap, but still indirectly warn her of it.

I sincerely hope the ex-maid get protected/hired by the Salvatore after this :< she's such a loyal person.
 
@Miistis It's definitely easy to be disgusted with the hired help at the Sperado estate, they do more or less deserve it, but they could probably just get disappeared on a whim if they don't act as shitty as their employers want them to. This is a family with power and influence that has been murdering their own children for generations to maintain that power. The longer people work under "people" like the Sperados, the more twisted they're likely to become themselves, so at some point it probably stops being "just following orders" and they're corrupted by their environment. I'm sure some of them started out rotten too, no shortage of shitty people in any world, but plenty of them are about as pitiful as this woman who may have a hostage being held over her at the moment.

@dArkus_Orion Death by bonfire seems pretty good. Get a taste of what they've been trying to do to Leslie. I wouldn't really mind them actually catching her in their trap, trying to burn her again and failing again, then just get absolutely destroyed by Leslie's powers. She could probably destroy the entire estate in one shot if pressured to do so.
