Ruenti.... what a nice excuse to pull Leslie away from danger, without hurting her feelings of pride for being a Salvatore! & I see the “trash disposal” is going on for a while now, this was not a first, huh?
And gosh! You plan to spoil her rotten! I’d love that though!
So happy to see you understand! They (her birth parents & household) definitely were the lowest of scums, and we felt disgusted whenever they did something bad to our Leslie! So glad to be on the same page #touched!
@doradora
I wasn't thinking that her magic didn't exist, just that the "life-like" interactions she has with it are all fake, and she is just talking to herself. But that also would be an interesting twist.
I want to see the dark spirit possess the bunny doll and walk through the halls. That would be cute. Extra points if someone sees it and it's freezes, waves or bows and carries on to wherever it's headed.
I shudder at the thought that unrepentant, dense people such as that damned wench exist. Fortunately we have the Salvatore to make up for these insufferable characters
@JavelinJoe
The origin of her magic seems to be the souls of the other children who were sacrificed so I wouldn't be surprised if it had its own conscience ;p
@ravidya
Well, world's oldest empire, the Akkadians', is only 4000 years old.
Also, in the 1000-years-old Roman empire they were close to the development of steam machines, before their decline and fall that delayed things by 1300 years; and here the empire didn't fall.
I don't know how much the author thought it through, but they should come up with a hell of a good reason to convince me.
Let me guess, you're American? I don't want to rain on your parade, but most of the important jumps forward were done in Europe. Even the patent system originated in Venice in the 15th century...
Really wish more of these stories would have someone in their family get a redemption. Maybe not full forgiveness (or even any), but one that realizes their wrongs and legit feels shame and self loathing for doing what they did. And a will to try and make amends or at least not hurt the person they hurt anymore. Oh well.
