@sjmcc13 you will find that a lot "evil people"(for lack of a better word) in real life are incredibly brazen and lazy when deciding a course of action.

It is a combination of a lack of empathy and a massive ego. If you truly believe you are not doing anything wrong then why would you put in the extra effort?
