Foolish dude. You should raise your luck persistently, throughout the game, even if you felt like you'd rather place the points elsewhere. Luck affects everything else, but nothing else affects luck (positively), unless you find Uncle Scrooge's first coin or something.

@Kaarme : The Luck stat isn't exactly consistent from one game to the next. Yeah, sometimes it influences everything. Sometimes it only boosts crit-rate. Sometimes it only boosts gold found. Yeah, okay, ignoring it entirely is probably dumb, but often it isn't all that important in the end.
